Bhubaneswar: Police have detained a woman for allegedly cheating drivers of an app-based cab service company in Bhubaneswar.
As per reports, the woman, identified a Subhashree Nayak, used to hire the cabs from the service provider by claiming herself to be an employee of Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). After reaching her destination, she would make some excuse or other and flee without paying the fare amount.
She had cheated several cab drivers in the city in the last one month. Though a complaint had been filed at Nayapalli police station against the woman, she continued to elude the police.
On Tuesday, some drivers managed to nab the woman and handed her over to the police. She has been detained in Nayapalli police station. The police were questioning her to ascertain involvement of other persons in the case,
