Police File Another Case Of Fake Passport Against Fraudster Hansita In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police has filed another case against high profile con woman Hansita Abhilipsa for allegedly obtaining passport through fraudulent means.

According to sources, the original name of Hansita was Bishnupriya Chand. She had changed her name through an affidavit. But she did not mention the change of name nor furnished the affidavit while applying for passport in 2023.

She also mentioned the name of her husband as Saroj Sahu. But she did not mention that her name was Bishnupriya at the time of marriage. On the other hand, she stated that her husband’s name was Anil Mohanty when the police filed fraud case against her.

But Hansita visited Bali, Malaysia and other countries with her fake passport. After the matter came to the knowledge of police, they registered another case of fraud under Sections 420, 468 and 12 of BNSS (Bharatiya Nagaraik Suraksha Sanhita) against Hansita, the sources said.

Meanwhile, the JMFC Court in Bhubaneswar heard the bail application of Hansita on the day and would announce its verdict on Sunday.

Hansita and Anil were arrested for allegedly targeting builders, mining operators, multinational corporation owners, and businessmen in Bhubaneswar. The two cheated them by posing as the daughter and son-in-law of P K Mishra, principal secretary to Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
