Puri: Police have identified 10 persons for allegedly violating the restrictions during the Rath Yatra in the Pilgrim Town and registered cases against them.
According to sources, following allegation of violation of the norms, Singhadwar police identified the persons including two Iskcon members in its preliminary investigation.
The Iskcon members were identified from the videos on pulling of the chariots downloaded in the social media. They had apparently shot the video from the balcony of a house on Bada Danda (Grand Road). Others facing the police case had reportedly entered the inner cordon of the chariots.
The accused would face action for violating the curfew norms, the TNIE quoted DSP Janardan Padhi as saying. All CCTV, drone and live telecast footages are being scanned to identify other intruders, he added.
