Koraput: Police on Saturday foiled a loot attempt with the arrest of eight members of a dacoity gang at Nandapur in Koraput district.
A four-wheeler, one motorcycle and 13 cell phones were seized from their possession.
Acting on a tip-off, a police team swooped on the looters while they were plotting a dacoity at Nandapur. Two other members of the gang managed to escape during the raid.
Those arrested are being interrogated. Further investigation is underway, police sources said.
