Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police of Bhubaneswar and Cuttack has geared up to ensure peaceful celebration of New Year in the twin cities.
In absence of any restrictions on congregation like previous years due to COVID pandemic, the Commissionerate Police is expecting zero night celebration in a big way on New Year’s eve night. As the revellers are likely to come out to streets for celebration in good number, the police have tightened law and order measures.
In Bhubaneswar, the police would put up checking points and carry out blocking operation on main roads from 7 pm on December 31 to 2 am on January 1, 2023. The police check posts would be put up at 28 strategic and crowded places around the city.
