Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police on Monday issued an advisory on traffic movement for three days due to 18th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas to be held in Bhubaneswar from January 8 to 10.
In its advisory, police commissioner Suresh Dev Datta Singh said President Droupadi Murmu and Prime Minister Narendra Modi besides several dignitaries would visit Odisha to attend the Pravasi Bharatiya Divas.
“In view of safety and security concern of the VIPs and VVIPs and to ensure better regulation and free flow of traffic in the interest of general public, traffic restrictions will be imposed from January 8 to 10,” he added.
As per the restrictions, no vehicles will be allowed to ply on the roads and its connecting lane/by-lanes on the date and time as mentioned below:
However, the traffic restrictions will not be applicable for those engaged in emergency services including fire brigade, ambulance and other vehicles.
