Bhubaneswar: Police have begun investigations into a murder in which the body of the victim was buried near the BMC treatment plant near Mancheswar police station and covered with bricks and cement.
The case eerily matches with the plot of Drishyam in which the protagonist buried a body in an under-construction police station.
The victim has been identified as Mukesh Choudhuri (30), who had come out of jail. Police suspect that dispute with other criminals over sharing of loot could have led to the murder.
But the accused are yet to be identified or arrested.
Forensic teams have reached the spot from where the body was dug out. According to reports, some labourers noticed a patch of land paved with cement and bricks and grew suspicious. Later, police reached the spot and begun investigations.
