Bhubaneswar: A day after two members of the ‘Koi Bhai Nahi’ (KBN) gang of the city were arrested, the police conducted raid on the house of another member on Tuesday.
According to sources, the Nayapalli police carried out the raid on the house of KBN gang member Sanjay Khuntia at Brit Colony in Nayapalli area of the capital city.
The raid was conducted on suspicion of possession of weapons by Sanjay in his house. The police had bulldozed the house of Rajesh Behera alias Chenga, a member of the gang, on Monday following a tip-off that guns were stored there.
The police have geared up to nab all 29 members of the gang after registering cases against them. They have already arrested 7 members including two identified as Sahil and Kanha on Monday.
Brandishing swords and other crude weapons, the KBN gang has been terrorising people on the streets of Bhubaneswar at night for some time.
The police action has come after a local news channel telecast a video showing over two dozen members of the gang brandishing sharp weapons and a gun, driving an SUV and dancing on the middle of the national highway near CRP Square in the city.
