Police Recover Over Rs 5 Lakh Stolen Cash In Bhubaneswar During August

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police recovered more than Rs 5 lakh stolen money and 80 mobile phones from the offenders under Bhubaneswar Urban Police district in August.

According to an official statement of the Commissionerate Police on various cases released on Thursday, 27 delinquents were booked under Section 110 of CrPC, 118 property offenders arrested and forwarded to court, 7 drugs peddlers arrested and forwarded to court and 114 persons remanded to jail custody during the month.

On seizure of different stolen items, the Commissionerate Police mentioned that it recovered 83 mobile phones, 42 vehicles and 172 gram of stolen gold ornaments, Rs 5,02,900 cash, 292.3 gram of brown sugar, 43.45 kg ganja, one laptop and 2 batteries.

The police also registered 6 NDPS cases, 4 brown sugar cases and 2 ganja cases during the month.
