Rourkela: A 30-year-old man accused of sodomising children was rescued by Uditnagar police from an angry mob in Malgodam here on Monday.
Police said that the accused had allegedly sodomised two children, aged five and seven, recently.
After their parents came to know of it, they along with neighbours began a search for the accused. The accused, who owns a roadside food stall, was severely beaten up after he was found on Monday.
He is suspected to have sodomised at least 10 children of the area, police said.
Uditnagar IIC Bulu Swain said that separate complaints were received from the parents of the two victims. The accused has been booked under Section 377 of IPC.
