Police Seize 30 Gram Of Brown Sugar, Arrest 3 Persons In Bhubaneswar

Bhubaneswar: The Commissionerate Police seized 30 gram of brown sugar and arrested three persons in this connection in Bhubaneswar on Tuesday.

On receiving reliable information that the three persons were selling brown sugar at FCI godown in Kudiary under Bhubaneswar urban police department in the morning, a team from Jatni police station went to the spot.

The police team apprehended the three persons and found the contraband in their possession. The three persons were identified as Sabir Ali Khan of Pipili in Puri district and Jamir Khan and Mohammad Raju of Jatni in Khurda district.

During questioning, the three persons said they have been procuring the brown sugar from Balasore and selling it to the youths in the city. But they did not disclose the name of the person from whom they were purchasing the contraband.

The police seized 30 gram of brown sugar, two motorcycles and two mobile phones from the possession of drug peddlers. The police have registered a case under NDPS Act and started further investigation.
