Police To Distribute Corona Masks In This Odisha City

Berhampur: Berhampur Police on Thursday launched a special programme to distribute one lakh masks among the people and promote awareness to contain spread of COVID-19.

Berhampur SP Pinak Mishra accompanied by other senior police officials started the programme at Harijan Sahi in Pathara village under Gopalpur police station.

The SP said wearing mask and maintaining social distance are two most effective ways to fight against coronavirus. “We are distributing masks among the people, who are ignorant of the situation, on streets, in vending zones and other places. We are trying to sensitise them through leaflets and personal interaction. The special programme will continue till we complete distribution of one lakh masks,” he said.

He appealed to the people to cooperate in their sincere efforts to defeat the killer disease.
