‘Porn Consumption In India Grows On Apple Devices’

India’s porn hub has resulted in an interesting change. Apart from dropping 12 places in the top 20 countries list, Apple’s iOS for the first time has beaten Android as the most popular platform for porn, according to Pornhub.

iOS accounted for 52.8 per cent of all mobile traffic in 2019, while only 46.6 per cent traffic came from Android.

The reason for this is India’s porn ban which seems to have primarily affected Android devices, which has seen a 14 per cent drop while iOS has seen a 19 per cent increase.

“Android based devices are quite popular in India, so when India’s traffic decreased in 2019, it caused the share of Android devices to decrease,” the company said.

The United States takes the crown as the top country where most porn is accessed from. Japan comes second and United Kingdom third.

Despite a drop in users, the average time spent per visit by Indians increased by 88 seconds to 9.51 minutes. The average age of users in India is 30, lower than the global age of 36, the company noted.

Pornhub also revealed that porn traffic from iOS devices worldwide fell by 15 per cent during iPhone 11 launch event.
