Bhubaneswar: Power supply has been restored to 99.05 per cent of consumers affected by cyclone Arnab and subsequent floods in eight districts of southern Odisha, Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi said on Monday.
Electricity supply had been fully restored in Boudh, Rayagada, Malkangiri and Nabarangpur districts and all 33 kV and 11 kV feeders, along with 33/11 kV substations, have also been made fully operational in these four districts, the Chief Minister said in a post on X.
Electricity restoration work is underway on a war footing in the remaining affected areas, with administration and energy department personnel working round the clock to restore power connections to the consumers still without electricity, Majhi said.
ବାତ୍ୟା ‘ଅର୍ଣ୍ଣବ’ ଏବଂ ପରବର୍ତ୍ତୀ ବନ୍ୟା ଯୋଗୁଁ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଦକ୍ଷିଣ ଓଡ଼ିଶାର ୮ଟି ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ଭିତ୍ତିଭୂମିର ପୁନରୁଦ୍ଧାର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟ ଯୁଦ୍ଧକାଳୀନ ଭିତ୍ତିରେ ଚାଲିଛି। ବର୍ତ୍ତମାନ ସୁଦ୍ଧା ମୋଟ ପ୍ରଭାବିତ ଉପଭୋକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ମଧ୍ୟରୁ ୯୯.୦୫ ପ୍ରତିଶତଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ସେବା ସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ କରାଯାଇସାରିଛି।
ବିଶେଷକରି ବୌଦ୍ଧ, ରାୟଗଡ଼ା, ମାଲକାନଗିରି ଏବଂ ନବରଙ୍ଗପୁର ଜିଲ୍ଲାରେ ଶତପ୍ରତିଶତ ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ଯୋଗାଣ ସ୍ୱାଭାବିକ ହୋଇଥିବା ବେଳେ ସମସ୍ତ ୩୩ କେଭି ଓ ୧୧ କେଭି ଫିଡର ସହିତ ୩୩/୧୧ କେଭି ସବ୍-ଷ୍ଟେସନଗୁଡ଼ିକୁ ସମ୍ପୂର୍ଣ୍ଣ କାର୍ଯ୍ୟକ୍ଷମ କରାଯାଇଛି। ଅବଶିଷ୍ଟ ଉପଭୋକ୍ତାଙ୍କ ନିକଟରେ ଯଥାଶୀଘ୍ର ବିଦ୍ୟୁତ୍ ସଂଯୋଗ ପୁନଃସ୍ଥାପନ କରିବା ନିମନ୍ତେ ପ୍ରଶାସନ ତଥା ବିଭାଗୀୟ କର୍ମଚାରୀମାନେ ଅହୋରାତ୍ର କାର୍ଯ୍ୟରତ ଅଛନ୍ତି।

The restoration work is being carried out on a priority basis to ensure that power supply is restored to all affected consumers at the earliest, the Chief Minister added.
