Pramod Kumar Jena Assumes Charge As Principal Chief Operations Manager, ECoR

Bhubaneswar: Pramod Kumar Jena, 1987 batch officer of the Indian Railways Traffic Service (IRTS), assumed charge as the new Principal Chief Operations Manager (PCOM) of East Coast Railway. He has taken over as the head of the operations wing of the ECoR.

Prior to his taking over as the Chief Operations Manager, he was working as Principal Chief Operations Manager of South East Central Railway at Bilaspur and before that, he was working as Principal Chief Commercial Manager (PCCM) in South Eastern Railway at Kolkata.

He has served in the Freight Operations, Coaching Operations, Safety, Planning, General Administration departments of the Railways.

Sources said as head of the Operations Department, Jena’s immediate priorities include achieving of the stiff loading target, improved punctual running of trains, putting infrastructure planning, better logistics supply to industries and strategic connectivity to ports.

After completing his MA in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University in 1984, Jena joined Indian Railways. He belongs to Kolar village of Jagatsinghpur District.
