Bhubaneswar: Senior IPS officer Praveen Kumar will take charge as the nodal officer for the ensuing by-polls to Balasore Sadar and Tirtol constituencies in Odisha.
Kumar will oversee the poll expenditure by the political parties.
In a letter, the State Police Headquarters has said that the 2002 batch IPS officer has been nominated as the nodal officer following a request by the Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) Sushil Kumar Lohani.
