‘Preach Janhvi Kapoor’: Priyanka Chopra Gives A Shoutout To Sridevi’s Daughter

Mumbai: Global icon Priyanka Chopra gave a shoutout to Janhvi Kapoor, who recently spoke about gender equality.

Re-posting Janhvi’s video from the event on her Instagram Stories on Friday, Priyanka wrote, “It starts with a conversation so here I go. Preach Janhvi Kapoor (clapping emoj).”

In the video, the late Sridevi’s daughter Janhvi is seen talking about equality and celebrating womanhood at the We The Women Asia event, held recently in Mumbai.

“I think it starts with conversation, it starts with debate, it starts with being able to use your voice and encouraging, people, you know, the generation ahead of you to sort of be more aware about what being an equal actually means, because as women, I really think that we’re completely u

nstoppable, We just need to realize that a little bit more. And that truly is no bigger privilege than being a woman, we just need to start being treated the same way,” Janhvi said.

On the work front, Priyanka is all set to return to Indian cinema with SS Rajamouli’s Telugu film ‘Varanasi’, with Mahesh Babu and Prithviraj Sukumaran as her co-stars.

The film is slated to be released in theatres on Sankranti 2027.

Priyanka will be seen playing a Caribbean pirate in the Hollywood film ‘The Bluff’. She is also preparing for the second season of the web series ‘Citadel’.

She will next be seen in Ram Charan’s ‘Peddi’, helmed by Buchi and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas. The film, which also stars Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Divyendu Sharma and Boman Irani, is slated to release in theatres on March 27, 2026.
