Sundargarh: A minor girl with her hands and legs tied was rescued in critical condition from a forest near the Basudihi area under Bonai police limits in Sundargarh district on Wednesday.
According to sources, the girl, a minor is six months pregnant. She has been admitted to a private hospital for treatment.
Sources added that a youth from Gopinathpur village took the girl with him on September 7. He allegedly abandoned the minor after tying her limbs in a nearby forest.
Locals spotted and rescued the girl who was subsequently shifted to a hospital. Meanwhile the suspect in this case is on the run, sources added.
Police on the other hand has registered a case and launched a manhunt to nab the youth.
