Pregnant Woman Among 3 Critical As Ambulance Hits Road Divider In Nabarangpur

Nabarangpur: An expectant mother sustained serious injuries after the ambulance, in which she was being carried hit a road divider near Chacha village under Jharigaan block in Nabarangpur district on Sunday.

According to sources, an ASHA and the driver of the ambulance were also critically injured in the mishap.

The pregnant woman complained of labour pain following which her family members called up the ambulance service.

The accident took place, when the woman was being carried in the ambulance to the hospital. The driver apparently lost control over the vehicle and dashed into a road divider.

All the three injured were rushed to the Umerkote community health centre. Later,  the ASHA and the pregnant woman were shifted to Nabarangpur district headquarters hospital as their condition deteriorated.
