Mumbai: Prem Chopra and his wife Uma Chopra tested positive for coronavirus and were admitted to the Lilavati Hospital here on Monday.
“They both have received the monoclonal antibody cocktail and are recuperating well. Hopefully (he) will be discharged in a day or two. At the age of 86 years (he) is responding quite well,” Dr Jalil Parkar said in a statement.

Prem, the villain fans loved to hate, had a long career in Bollywood and featured in several hit movies like Shaheed, Upkaar, Purab Aur Pashchim, Do Raaste, Kati Patang, Do Anjaane, Kala Sona, Dostana, Kranti, Jaanwar, Phool Bane Angaarey etc.
He last acted in Bunty Aur Babli 2, which was released in November 2021.
Prem’s wife Uma, a fashion designer, is the younger sister of Raj Kapoor’s wife Krishna.
