Bhubaneswar: President of India on Thursday appointed three judges of the Orissa High Court.
A notification of the Ministry of Law and Justice stated that the President has appointed V Narasingh, Biraja Prasanna Satapathy and Murahari Sri Raman as judges of the Orissa High Court in that order of seniority.
Their appointment will be effective from the date they assume charge of their respective offices.

The Supreme Court Collegium in its meeting held on January 29 had approved the proposal for elevation of the three advocates as judges of the High Court.
Earlier, Chief Justice Dr S Muralidhar of the Orissa High Court had recommended to the Centre and the Supreme Court in the first week of January to increase the number of judges by 25 per cent.
