Bhubaneswar: President Droupadi Murmu left for New Delhi after the end of her 3-day visit to Odisha on Thursday evening.
Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik, Chief Secretary PK Jena, DGP SK Bansal and Bhubaneswar Mayor Sulochana Das were present at the Biju Patnaik International Airport in Bhubaneswar to see the President off. She flew in a special Indian Air Force (IAF) plane back to New Delhi.
The Chief Minister in a tweet, said, “It was a great pleasure having President of India Droupadi Murmu in Odisha. Hope she had a pleasant visit and carried back rich memories of Odisha’s hospitality.”
President Murmu arrived in Odisha on July 25. She laid the foundation stone for a new Building at Raj Bhawan, addressed the valedictory function of 75th year celebration of Orissa High Court, attended the convocation of National Law University and annual function of SCB Medical College and Hospital in Cuttack next day.
On the last day of her visit, President Murmu interacted with some members of PVTG groups and laid the foundation stone for the ‘Divine Light House’ of Prajapita Brahma Kumaris Ishwariya Vishwa Vidyalaya at Dasabatia, Tamando, on the outskirts of Bhubaneswar.
She also launched its theme of the year “The Year of Positive Change” for conducting seminars and conferences.
