New York: ‘Servant of the People’, a comedy series starring Ukrainian president Volodymyr Zelensky, is back on OTT platform on public demand.
The three-season show, which ran from 2016 to 2019, can now be watched on Netflix in the US.
A political satire, ‘Servant of the People’ features Zelensky as a teacher who suddenly becomes President of Ukraine after a video of him complaining about corruption goes viral.
Ever since Russia invaded Ukraine on February 24, there was a growing demand for the show to be brought back. Especially as Zelensky has led Ukraine’s brave and spirited resistance front the front, without fleeing Kyiv.
“You asked and it’s back! Servant of the People is once again available on Netflix in the US. The 2015 satirical comedy series stars Volodymyr Zelensky playing a teacher who unexpectedly becomes President after a video of him complaining about corruption suddenly goes viral,” Netflix tweeted.
