New Delhi: Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) on Thursday slashed the price of 19-kg LPG commercial cylinders by Rs 91.50. The price cut will come into effect immediately, news agency ANI reported.
Here are the new prices:
New Delhi: Rs 1,976.50 (New price); Rs 2,012.50 (Old price)
Kolkata: Rs 2,095.50 (New price); Rs 2,132 (Old price)
Mumbai: Rs 1,936.50 (New price); Rs 1,972.50 (Old price)
Chennai: Rs 2,141 (New price); Rs 2,177.50 (Old price)
The price of a commercial LPG cylinder was reduced by Rs 36 on August 1 and after a cut of Rs 8.5 per unit on July 5.
Notably, the price of domestic LPG cylinders has remained the same since July 6. For non-subsidised 14.2 kg cylinders, it is Rs 1,053 in Delhi, Rs 1,079 in Kolkata, Rs 1,052 in Mumbai and Rs 1,068 in Chennai.
It is pertinent to mention here that Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd (BPCL) and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd (HPCL) have not raised petrol and diesel prices for almost five months now despite rising international oil prices.
