Keonjhar: An accused in a murder case in Odisha’s Keonjhar district was found dead under mysterious circumstances in Jharsuguda on Sunday.

Speaking to the media, Keonjhar SP Kusalkar Nitin Dagudu said the accused, Ajay Sahoo, was found dead beside the train tracks near Jharsuguda railway station. Ajay was the prime suspect in the murder of a woman in Keonjhar town.

Preliminary investigation into the murder of the woman, identified as Manorama, revealed that Ajay used to visit her house in Barala Lodge lane in Keonjhar town. He had gone to meet her on October 4 also.

Later, Manorama was found with her throat slit inside her house. The police suspected the role of Ajay in her murder and were on the lookout for him since then.
