Prime Minister Expresses Condolence On Demise Of Odisha Minister Naba Das

Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has expressed his condolences on the death of Odisha Health Minister Naba Das on Sunday.

The Prime Minister in his official Twitter handle said, “Saddened by the unfortunate demise of Minister in Odisha Government Naba Kishore Das Ji. Condolences to his family in this tragic hour. Om Shanti.”

Earlier, Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik also condoled Das who succumbed to bullet injuries he sustained after an ASI of police fired at him in Brajrajnagar under Jharsuguda district. Naveen expressed deep shock and distress over the unfortunate death of Das.

In a statement, the CM said, “I am shocked and distressed over the very unfortunate demise of Minister Naba  Das. The doctors made every possible effort to save his life. But unfortunately, he could not recover.”

Das was hit by a bullet on chest as the ASI fired from his service revolver while the former was going to attend a public function in Brajrajnagar. He was airlifted to Apollo Hospitals in Bhubaneswar. But he succumbed while undergoing treatment in the hospital.
