Bhubaneswar: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will meet residents of Sabar Sahi slum in Gadakana area of Bhubaneswar during his day trip to Odisha to grace the launch event of Subhadra Yojana.
According to sources, Modi will interact with dwellers of Sabar Sahi in Gadakan where he will inaugurate the house of a PM Awas beneficiary Antaryami Nayak. In total houses of around 36 beneficiaries of PM Awas Yojana will be inaugurated.
“I am eagerly waiting to see Prime Minister Narendra Modi in my village. My family is very happy that we will talk to the Prime Minister of our country,” Nayak said when asked about the PM’s visit.
Sources added that Modi will distribute 10 lakh PM Awas houses in Odisha.
Modi will also release the first instalment of Subhadra Yojana following the launch of the scheme.
According to the schedule, PM Modi will arrive at Bhubaneswar airport at 11 am from Ahmedabad by a special IAF aircraft and leave for Gadakana Basti by road. He is scheduled to reach the slum area at 11.15 am and interact with PMAY-Urban beneficiaries for half an hour before heading for Janata Maidan for the launch event. He will also lay the foundation stone for various development projects worth over Rs 3,800 crore, aimed at enhancing infrastructure and promoting regional growth.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi visited the houses of all beneficiaries on Sunday. He also reviewed the related preparations.
