Bhadrak: The officials of the Regional Transport Office (RTO) in Bhadrak slapped a fine of Rs 10,000 o a private bus operator for overloading passengers in violation of the Odisha Motor Vehicle Act.
According to sources, the RTO officials detained a Chandbali-bound private bus Sangeeta (WB-76-A-5696) from Kolkata at the bypass on the outskirts of Bhadrak town on Friday night and found it overloaded with passengers.
The officials later released the vehicle after collecting a fine of Rs 10,000 from the bus conductor.
