Bhubaneswar: The Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) on Monday sealed a private coaching centre in the city for flouting the COVID-19 guidelines.
According to sources, the BMC had received a complaint about a private coaching centre, Sri Vinayaka, at IRC village conducting physical classes.
Amid the COVID-19 upsurge, the Odisha government had decided to closed all educational institutions from Monday and students were asked to vacate the hostel before this date.
However, the centre continued to hold classes.
A team led by Assistant Commissioner Lilan Sahoo and Enforcement Inspector and other staff visited the centre this morning and sealed it after it found that the order was being violated.
