Private Sector Can Now Be Part Of Inter-Planetary Missions, Build Rockets: ISRO Chief

New Delhi: Space activities like building rockets, satellites, and providing launch services will now be allowed to be carried out by the private sector too, NDTV reported Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) chief K Sivan as saying.

He said the private sector can also be part of the inter-planetary missions of the ISRO.

The Union Cabinet on Wednesday approved the participation of the private sector in the entire range of space activities, including planetary exploration missions.

NDTV further reported Dr Sivan as saying that ISRO’s activities are not going to reduce and it will continue to carry our space-based activities including advanced research and development, inter-planetary and human space flight missions, NDTV further reported.
