Mumbai: Priyanka Chopra Jonas and her husband, Nick Jonas, celebrated Dussehra with a traditional puja at home, sharing special family moments with their daughter, Malti Marie Chopra Jonas.
The couple performed Kanya Pujan, a Hindu ritual in which young girls are worshipped as manifestations of Goddess Durga.
Malti looked adorable in an ivory traditional outfit paired with a red scarf bearing the words ‘Jai Mata Di’. Priyanka and Nick were also seen washing their daughter’s feet as part of the ritual.
Priyanka shared a series of pictures from the celebrations on social media, offering a glimpse into the family’s festive moments.
One photograph shows Nick sitting beside Malti during the puja, with Priyanka joining them.
Another captures the family in front of their home temple, which is adorned with flowers and religious idols.
Malti also caught attention in her traditional attire, complete with tiny bangles and the red religious scarf.
Sharing the pictures, Priyanka wrote, “May the strength of Maa Durga, the purity of our prayers and the spirit of Dussehra stay with us all, today and tomorrow and always.”
Priyanka has often shared glimpses of her efforts to introduce Malti to Indian traditions and spirituality.
In August, the actress posted a video of herself teaching her daughter a verse from the Durga Saptashati, with Malti attempting to repeat the Sanskrit prayer after her mother.
