Mumbai: Actor-producer-singer Priyanka Chopra landed in Mumbai on Wednesday, leaving fans wondering if she was here for a Bollywood project.
But that is not the case.
The actress who made waves in Hollywood with her performances in ‘Quantico’ Citadel’ etc., is in town to launch the beauty brand Max Factor in Indian market.
Priyanka is the global brand ambassador of Max Factor.
“There has been a lot of buzz around the reason behind Priyanka’s travel to India. But she has not come to India for any film project, or to announce her next Bollywood project, which is being assumed by many. In fact, there is no filmy connection to her visit this time,” Hindustan Times quoted a source close to Priyanka as saying.
“Priyanka is coming for a very special reason, and it is the launch of makeup brand Max Factor in India. There is a big event happening in Mumbai on October 18 which will mark the foray of the beauty brand in India. A lot of global media has also come down to India to cover the event,” the source revealed.
Priyanka, who is also a creative collaborator of Max Factor, has been associated with the popular global brand since 2021.
On the work front, Priyanka is currently shooting for the second season of ‘Citadel.’
The actress will also be seen in ‘The Bluff’, directed by Frank E Flowers. The film revolves around a former female pirate, who has to protect her family from the impacts of her past actions.
Among her other upcoming works is ‘Heads of State’, co-starring John Cena and Idris Elba.
