New Delhi: Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra has tested positive for COVID-19 – for the second time in two months.

“Tested positive for Covid (again!) today. Will be isolating at home and following all protocols,” Priyanka tweeted.

Priyanka had tested positive for coronavirus in June, following which she had to cut short her Lucknow trip and head back to Delhi.

There has been a significant surge in the national Capital, with 2,495 fresh Covid-positive cases and 7 deaths being reported on Tuesday.

According to the bulletin issued by the Delhi Health department, the positivity rate in Delhi is 15.41% while the number of active cases is 8,506.

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal sought to reassure citizens, saying that there was no need to panic as the infections continued to be of mild nature.

He added that the Delhi government is keeping a close watch on the situation and will take appropriate action.
