Priyanka, Nick Yet To Name Their Baby Girl; Grandmother Reveals The Reason

Los Angeles: It’s been five weeks since Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas announced that they have welcomed their first child through surrogacy. But the celebrity couple is yet to name the baby girl.

Priyanka’s mother Dr Madhu Chopra recently shed light on why Priyanka and Nick haven’t finalised a name for their newborn.

“Abhi nahi rakha hai… Jab pandit naam nikaalege tab hoga, abhi nahi (We haven’t finalised a name yet. When the priest gives us the name, then it will happen. Not now),” Madhu said at an event to mark the 14th anniversary of her cosmetic clinic, Hindustan Times reported.

“Nani bane toh bahut bahut khushi hui mujhe (I was so happy to become a grandmother)… I am smiling all the time. I’m very happy,” she said.

It was on January 22, 2022 that Priyanka and Nick sprung a surprise.

“We are overjoyed to confirm that we have welcomed a baby via surrogate. We respectfully ask for privacy during this special time as we focus on our family. Thank you so much,” they said in a statement on social media.
