Probe Links Bengaluru Couple Suicide To Job Loss, Interfaith Marriage



Bengaluru: A young techie couple in Bengaluru died by suicide within minutes of each other in a tragic incident.

The incident took place on March 30. The couple lived in an apartment complex. According to reports, the husband was found dead inside their flat, and his wife died by suicide after discovering his body.

Investigators said the man had been struggling after losing his job, reportedly due to changes in the technology sector linked to a

rtificial intelligence-driven restructuring. After returning from the United States, he had been unable to secure employment, which allegedly led to stress and anxiety.

Police recovered a suicide note indicating that job loss and rising anxiety were major factors. Authorities are continuing their investigation.

Reports also indicated that the couple were in an interfaith marriage. It had been kept private. Some family members reportedly unaware of the relationship.

The couple had moved to Bengaluru months earlier for work and were both employed in the IT sector.

According to preliminary findings, the wife returned home and found her husband unresponsive inside a locked room. After the door was opened with help from others, he was discovered dead. She allegedly ended her life in out of shock.

Police have registered unnatural death cases.
