Process Begins For Constitution Of New Assembly In Odisha

Bhubaneswar: After declaration of the election results, the process for constitution of the new Assembly in Odisha began on Thursday with state Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) meeting Governor Raghubar Das at Raj Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.

CEO Nikunja Bihari Dhal presented the gazette notification to the Governor regarding constitution of the new Assembly which will pave way for the constitution of the new house, official sources said.

The CEO was accompanied by representatives of the Election Commission of India (ECI) and other senior officials.

The ECI notification and Odisha gazette notification regarding the newly-elected MLAs were handed over to the Governor.

The Governor congratulated the ECI, the CEO and the entire election machinery in the state for conducting free, fair, accessible and peaceful elections.
