Bhubaneswar: Noted educationist Prof Prasan Kumar Swain has been appointed as the new Vice Chancellor of Utkal University of Culture in Odisha.
Odisha Governor and Chancellor of Universities, Prof Ganeshi Lal appointed Prof Swain as the Vice-Chancellor of the varsity for a period of three years.
Prof Swain is currently serving as the Head of Department of Odia at Berhampur University in the state.
He has been appointed for three years with effect from the date he assumes office or until further orders, whichever is earlier, according to an official notification.
Prof Swain has over 31 years of teaching experience and has authored a number of books.
