Bhubaneswar: Eminent academician Prof Sanjiv Mittal has been appointed as the new Vice-Chancellor of Sambalpur University by the Chancellor of Universities and Governor Prof Ganeshi Lal, said a Raj Bhawan Communique.
Prof Mittal, who is presently working at University School of Management Studies (USMS) of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University (GGSI), has 31 years of teaching experience in Business Management.
He was a professor and director at Rukmini Devi Institute of Advanced Studies (RDIAS) in Delhi from 1999 to June 2002.
Prior to this, he was the Reader at University School of Management Studies of GGSI from June 2002 till July 2007 and then as Professor since July 2007 till date.
He has contributed many articles in the journals of national and international repute. His areas of interest are marketing and international business.
Mittal, who has travelled widely to countries like US, Denmark, Norway and Sweden as a visiting faculty, is also an active member of the committee of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) and the University Grants Commission (UGC). He has undertaken a research project of the UGC: “Measuring Marketing Productivity”.
