Tikiri (Odisha): Aditya Alumina Refinery, Kansariguda, a unit of Hindalco Industries Limited of Aditya Birla Group, launched a flagship project ‘Kaushal’ at Phuljoba, in Odisha’s Rayagada district, on Saturday.
Kaushal is a skill development initiative aimed at enhancing employability among local youth.
The first batch ITI training was inaugurated by Mazhar Beig, unit head and president of Aditya Alumina Refinery, followed by logo launch of ‘Kaushal’.
ITI aspirant students, parents, community leaders, opinion makers, senior management staff and officials of Aditya Alumina Refinery were present at the event to mark a significant milestone under the company’s CSR initiative.
In the first phase of the project, 50 ITI aspirants from local community will be made ready to shape their career in the field of technical skills in electrical and fitter stream. These students will undergo 2-year technical course at ITI, followed by one year on-the-job training at Bhubaneswar.
Unit head & president Beig expressed confidence that this initiative will make a significant difference in building a skilled workforce for the future.
