Bhubaneswar: Claiming that the murder of Minister Naba Das was not accidental but pre-planned, veteran Congress leader Narasingha Mishra alleged that Odisha is witnessing a ‘jungle raj’ due to the state government’s inaction.
Mounting a scathing attack on the BJD government, the Congress Legislature Party leader said law and order situation has collapsed in the state.
The killing of Naba das in broad daylight by a policeman showed that there is ‘jungle raj’ in the state amid lawlessness, he claimed while speaking to reporters
“His (Naba Das) murder was not accidental. It did not happen all of a sudden, but the outcome of a prolonged conspiracy. It was planned well in advance,” Mishra alleged.
Voicing unhappiness over the investigation into the murder by the Crime Branch, the senior Congress leader claimed that people have doubts on the probe agency.
He said the investigating agency should hold a press conference and let people know about the developments in the probe.
Hitting out at the state police, the senior Congress leader it seems the state does not have a DGP as his presence is not felt.
Raising questions over the performance of the Crime Branch, Mishra said the probe agency is yet to clarify whether the death of Gobinda Sahu, accused in teacher Mamita Meher case, was due to suicide or murder.
