Odisha: Second-Phase Hearing At Promotion Adalats From Today

Bhubaneswar: The second-phase of hearing in the Promotion Adalats will begin on Thursday (February 27).

According to official sources, the General Administration and Public Grievance Department has finalised the preparations and the applications will be heard at the decided venue. Chief Secretary Asit Tripathy along with five Additional Chief Secretaries will preside over the different Adalats for various departments on February 27, 28, 29 and March 2.

The applicants enlisted for this phase have been asked to check their e-mail for acknowledgement letter. They can also check their names in the list uploaded on the website of the department as was the case in the first phase, the sources added.

Altogether, 1465 cases were heard and disposed of during the first phase held at six different venues over three days – January 28, 29 and 31.

The cases were then heard by Development Commissioner S C Mohapatra, Agriculture Production Commissioner P K Mohapatra, Additional Chief Secretary Steel and Mines R K Sharma, Additional Chief Secretary Rural Development P K Jena and Additional Chief Secretary Forest and Environment Dr Mona Sharma.

It may be mentioned here that 8909 stalled promotion applications were received online. Of these, 2309 applications were shortlisted for the first-phase hearing.
