Protest Demonstration By BJD At Central Govt Offices In Odisha On Nov 5

Bhubaneswar: As a counter to the BJP, which has decided to lock up all employment exchange offices in Odisha on November 5, the BJD on Saturday said that it would stage demonstrations before all central government offices in the state the same day.

Talking to mediapersons here, BJD general secretary Sanjay Dasburma said the students and the youth wing of the party would also stage dharna in front of all central government offices for three days, November 5, 6 and 8.

“The assurance of the BJP-led NDA government to create employment opportunity for 2 crore people every year has become a farce. Due to demonetization, there is scarce employment opportunity in the country while lakhs of people have lost their job,” Dasburma said.

In the industrial sector, the contribution of the Centre to Odisha has been disappointing, he further said.

“The Centre during its four-and-half-year rule has not taken any step to set up an industrial corridor for Odisha,” he maintained.
