Kurukshetra: While thousands of farmers continue their almost month-long agitation against the farm laws at various border points of Delhi, many others who could not join them are protesting at several other places.
On Thursday, a group of farmers made their presence felt in Kurukshetra. Carrying flags of farmer organisations, they stormed into a shopping mall and forced owners to shut down three Reliance outlets.
The farmers believe that the agriculture laws were enacted to allow big corporates purchase foodgrains from them and sell the products at their own prices.
“We will continue our protests at Reliance outlets, fuel stations and Jio mobile towers until the government accepts our demands,” one of the farmers was quoted as saying by Hindustan Times.
Police officials went to the mall, but didn’t take any action against the farmers.
