Bhubaneswar: Trishna Ray, a student from the KIIT School of Fashion Technology, has been crowned Miss Teen Universe 2024.
Trishna’s triumph in the pageant held in South Africa’s Kimberley from November 1 to 9 is a proud moment not only for KIIT-DU, but for Odisha and India as well.
Trishna, the daughter of Colonel Dilip Kumar Ray and Rajashree Ray, emerged as the shining star after beating the challenge of contestants from around the globe who were all vying for the prestigious title.
Peru’s Anne Thorsen and Namibia’s Precious Andre were first and second runner-up.
Trishna’s win was all the more special as Trishna had to face setbacks in previous years, missing the competitions in Colombia and the Dominican Republic due to visa issues.
But her passion, commitment and resilience didn’t waver. Ultimately she got rewarded for her perseverance.
KIIT and KISS founder Dr Achyuta Samanta congratulated Trishna for her accomplishment.
