Five persons were recently caught taking driving tests as proxy drivers for others in Sundargarh district.
Four people were reportedly slapped with a fine of Rs 55,000 by the Motor Vehicle Inspector while another person was booked and forwarded to court for arriving at the driving licence testing centre in a drunken state.
The applicants ,who used hired proxy drivers, have beeb barred by the Transport Department.
