Bhubaneswar: The Odisha government has declared a public holiday for the Dhamnagar Assembly constituency in Bhadrak district on November 3 in view of the by-election for the seat.
The holiday will be applicable to central and state government offices, semi-government offices, public enterprises, banks and other organisations in the constituency on the day of voting, sources said.
Sources said to increase the percentage of voting in this by-election, public awareness is being created on a large scale in the constituency.
While polling will be held for the by-election on November 3, counting of votes will be taken up on November 6.
