Bhubaneswar: Business establishments are expected to remain closed on Monday as a pan-India body, representing traders association, has called for a nationwide bandh on Monday to express solidarity with families of the martyrs of the Pulwama terror attack. It is also demanding strong action against Pakistan, holding it responsible for the attack.
The Confederation of All India Traders (CIAT) will observe ‘Bharat Trade Bandh’ and has urged traders and trade associations across the country to down shutters and extend support to the call.
“In view of the deadly Pulwama attack and a strong sense of anger among the traders and citizens, CAIT has decided to observe the bandh and no business will be held”, the traders body said in a statement.
The Pulwama attack had claimed the lives of 42 jawans, two of whom were from Odisha.
