Punishment: Father Makes 11-Yr-Old Son Play Video Games For 17 Hrs Without Sleep

Beijing: A man was livid with his son after catching him mobile phone in bed.

Keen to teach him a lesson for excessive use of technology and exposure to screens, the father handed out a punishment which was too harsh – he made his son play video games for 17 straight hours without sleep!

The incident happened in China’s Shenzhen, as reported by Express UK.

Despite repeated pleas from the 11-year-old boy for forgiveness, the father paid no heed.

According to local media, the father called off the punishment only when his son broke down in tears and agreed to a new arrangement limiting his screen time.

The father filmed the episode and shared it on a Chinese social media platform.

The video showed the father shaking awake his exhausted and sleepy son and urging him to keep playing.

According to a Metro report, the boy wrote a note on the computer apologising for playing video games well past bedtime and promising never to do it again.
