Puri Administration Imposes Restrictions On Cremations At Swargadwara

Puri: The Puri district administration has imposed restrictions on cremation of bodies from outside the district at the Swarga Dwara crematorium here amid a steady rise in COVID-19 cases in the state.

The order will be effective from January 10 till further orders, informed Puri Collector Samarth Verma.

Earlier in the evening, Shree Jagannath Temple Administration and Chhatisa Nijog had decided to keep the temple closed for devotees from January 10 till January 31 in view of the surge in COVID-19 cases.
