Puri: Biranchi Raula, an ASI of Puri Town police station, was caught red-handed by Vigilance officers while taking a bribe of Rs 3,000 on Saturday evening.
The accused ASI had demanded and accepted the bribe from one Bijaya Kumar Khuntia of Puri to exclude his name from the charge sheet in a case.
Raula was arrested on the spot and a case registered against him, Vigilance sources said.
